Ernest Wong currently serves as the PNT Technical Manager at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate (S&T). Ernest began working at DHS S&T as a technical SETA contractor in 2014 and later joined S&T as a federal employee. Ernest’s focus at S&T has been critical infrastructure security and resilience, initially with supporting S&T’s electric grid resiliency programs and later working on S&T’s projects for increasing the resilience of critical infrastructure against Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) vulnerabilities. He has worked PNT issues at S&T since 2015 and is one of the department’s technical PNT leads. In his role at DHS, Ernest is a member of various interagency working groups.
Before coming to DHS S&T, Ernest was an IT project manager delivering enterprise software solutions to the General Services Administration (GSA). Ernest holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Master of Public Policy from George Mason University.
