A Telecom network operator needed to add time synchronization to enable 5G backhaul through their MPLS network.  To accomplish this they added GPS based timing to the remote radio heads. Unfortunately, this did not work in all parts of the network as jamming GPS is a re-occurring problem. The adaptation of technology from DTT networks to the needs of mobile network was done. A solution was demonstrated using a combination of distributing time through DTM to affected parts of the network and local distribution of PTP, NTP and 1PPS.  It was field tested in three different locations.
