Recent Improvements to High-Accuracy Timekeeping in Microsoft Windows OS

Recent versions of Microsoft Windows OS have several key feature additions and improvements to high accuracy timekeeping for time-sensitive workloads and applications. This talk discusses the improvements to relevant Windows APIs, implementation of UTC-compliant leap seconds, software and hardware timestamping of network packets and its use in our PTP implementation, and learnings from internal tests and case studies.
